Under Glass
Under Glass is a series of sculptural assemblages inspired by the close observation of nature and the traditions of nineteenth-century natural history. Natural objects are placed beneath Victorian-style glass domes, highlighting the act of seeing that lies at the heart of both art and science. Paired with engraved labels that function as conceptual lenses, each assemblage explores how observation, context, and perception shape our understanding of the natural world. Together, they suggest the extraordinary complexity of seemingly ordinary natural objects.
